New ACAF appointments

Jeff Rooker, Chair of the Food Standards Agency (FSA), today (28th June 2013) announced on behalf of the FSA, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and devolved administrations the appointment of Mrs Stephanie Young, Dr Wendy Harwood and Dr Timothy Riley and the re-appointment of Professor Stephen Forsythe as members of the independent Advisory Committee on Animal Feedingstuffs (ACAF). All three new members’ terms of office will run from 1 October 2013 until 30 September 2016. Professor Forsythe has had his term extended until 31 August 2016.

Jeff Rooker said: 'The Advisory Committee on Animal Feedingstuffs is one of the independent committees that play a very important role in providing the FSA, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and devolved administrations with expert advice. The committee is extremely fortunate to have members with the enthusiasm and experience of Professor Forsythe, Mrs Young, Dr Harwood and Dr Riley. I wish them every success in their work.'
