Fundraising campaign to Power the Next Generation of Changemakers
Across the UK, a new generation is rising. They are young leaders, community organisers, under-represented founders and researchers who are working for change. They are challenging inequality and creating new ways to build a fairer society. But they cannot do it alone.
Diversity UK has launched the fundraising campaign Power the Next Generation of Changemakers to raise £10,000 for its new Changemaker Series. This programme will give these voices a platform, connecting them with mentors, networks and opportunities that can turn ideas into real impact.
How your gift will help
Your support will directly fund:
- Free public lectures and workshops, such as the Paul Stephenson Lecture, that amplify unheard voices
- Research on race, gender and workplace equity, informing change where it matters most
- Human-first approaches to AI, keeping ethics and equality at the centre of innovation
- Mentoring for leaders from minoritised or marginalised backgrounds
- Outreach that links changemakers with business, policy and technology networks
“These changemakers carry the hopes of many,” said Lopa Patel MBE, Chair of Diversity UK. “With donor support, we can provide them with visibility, mentoring and access to opportunities. The Changemaker Series is about social justice: tackling inequalities in workplaces and addressing the growing divides between human endeavour and AI.”
First step: AI and healthcare
The first Changemaker Series event will focus on how Artificial Intelligence can be used to reduce health inequalities. In partnership with Cambridge Judge Business School and the Frugal AI Hub, Diversity UK will host a panel discussion on Wednesday 17 September 2025.
The event will explore how cost-effective and sustainable AI innovations can improve healthcare, and how these align with the Government’s 10-year Health Plan: Fit for the Future. By connecting ideas with practical solutions, this conversation will show how innovation can serve those most in need.
