GEO hosts ‘Gender Pay Gap’ Roundtable
The Government Equalities Office (GEO) hosted a roundtable with think tanks on 11th August 2015 to discuss how to close the gender pay gap in Britain. The roundtable - which was attended by Pat Cleaverly of Tomorrow’s Company; Theo Fellgett of Nesta; Jenny Leigh of ResPublica; Ally Paget of Demos and Lopa Patel from Diversity UK, also brought together Dan Coles, Head of Gender Pay Gap Policy at GEO; Beth Walker from GEO; Kate Glazebrook of The Behavioural Insights Team; Ros Goodfellow and Rebecca Price from the Cabinet Office - was chaired by Helene Reardon Bond OBE, Deputy Director at GEO. The roundtable reviewed the current data and trends on the gender pay gap before breaking up into small groups to discuss specific topics. The public consultation on ‘Closing the gender pay gap' ends on 6th September 2015.
