Following Theresa May's appointment as Prime Minister, the Queen has been pleased to approve the following ministerial appointments (see below). Theresa May's new cabinet features more women than ever before with Amber Rudd becoming Home Secretary; Liz Truss the first female Lord Chancellor and Secretary for Justice; state school educated Justine Greening as Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities; Karen Bradley as Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport; Andrea Leadsom as Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and fellow Brexit 'Leave' campaigner Priti Patel as Secretary of State for International Development.
